"The Heart of Worship"

I remember a few years ago when I was traveling with Indiana Bible College chorale. It was the first night of the two week tour and we just so happened to be singing at my home church, the Sidney Apostolic Temple. It was nearly time for the service to begin and we were all gathered in the prayer room preparing for the service. Our director- Bro. Lindel Anderson - began singing the old hymn, "Glory and Honor". The choir quickly joined in the hymn without hesitation. I can still hear the sound of voices resonating in that old prayer room. No music was required, just the "sound of worship". The words of this song exemplify the true heart of worship. I will never forget that night of selfless praise and worship.

Music speaks directly to the heart, saying things that could never be said with words alone. It's an honor to lead God's people in worship that Will move the face of God declaring His love and goodness.

It's ultimately the Word of God that will save souls. Worship, however, is the tool that prepares the heart for the preached Word of God allowing the seed to be planted in fertile soil.

The Bible says that the Lord inhabits the praises of Israel, and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Simply put, when the children of God begin to worship, the Lord honors us with his presence. It's in the presence of an Almighty God that deliverance comes and the chains of bondage breaks.

"Glory and honor to Jesus. Glory and honor to Jesus. Glory,honor, glory and honor to Him".
